What are RescueTime's GDPR-defined sub-processors?
According to GDPR, a sub-processor refers to any business or contractor that customer data may pass through while using RescueTime's service. This definition encompasses a broad range of entities, including what some may consider "hardware" such as cloud infrastructure.
To ensure a quality experience for our customers, we partner with certain entities for certain business processes that are not central to our expertise. Below is a list of our sub-processors:
|Amazon AWS||USA||Cloud Infrastructure for our apps and services|
|Paypal, Inc (Braintree subsidiary)||USA||Customer payments|
|Helpscout, Inc.||USA||Customer support|
|Google, Inc||USA||Site analytics (web) and customer interactions (email)|
|ENTP, Inc (Tenderapp.com)||USA||Customer support (legacy)|
|Open.ai (Optional to User)||USA||Product feature enhancements; our users choose to enable or not. Data is never used in model training.|
